New Delhi, April 12, 2024 – The Art Qurious, a beacon of contemporary art founded by Sangita Rajani, celebrated its much-anticipated preview night on April 11th at the centrally located venue 1AQ, marking the beginning of an engaging artistic journey for enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. The inaugural showcase features two young Indian contemporary artists, each with a unique artistic voice, in exhibitions curated by artist, writer and curator Rahul Kumar.
Bhuwal Prasad’s collection, titled ‘Solitude in My Cacophony,’ delves into the intricacies of materialism, anarchy, and tribal art. Through vivid strokes and captivating narratives, Prasad’s work invites viewers to delve into the realms of childhood dreams juxtaposed against the complexities of urban existence.
Parallelly, Yashwant Singh’s exhibition, ‘The Body: Tool. Object. Subject,’ presents a captivating exploration of the human form and its relationship with space and nature. Singh’s innovative use of techniques and unconventional materials challenges traditional norms, sparking contemplation on the dynamics between the figure and its environmental context.
The opening night, hosted by Kalyani Chawla, witnessed a resounding success, with art enthusiasts, collectors, and prominent personalities such as Tikka Shatrujit Singh and noteworthy persons from the art-couture design fraternity such as Varun Bahl, Malini Ramani, Rimple Narulah, Gautam Seth, V Sunil and Pranay Baidya gracing the event. The evening also saw the presence of esteemed guests such as Abha Bakaya, Founder of Ladies Who Lead, Vicram Sharma, Director of the Baidyanath Group, Rishma Kaur, Director of Berger Paints, as well as art connoisseurs Varun Thapar, Ashray Gujral, Roshni Vadehra and Roshni Jaiswal. Nitya Bharany, Preeti Mahajan, Seema Khushlani and Radhika Chopra who attended the launch, among other distinguished attendees who were immersed in the artwork, engaging in insightful conversations with the artists.
