New Delhi, November 15, 2024: Gallery Pristine is proud to present Tathagata: Buddha and His Bodhisattvas, a captivating exhibition featuring the work of renowned Bhutanese thangka master Zeiko. The show is the first at Gallery Pristine’s permanent space, and is being shown under their vertical, Pristine Heritage.
Reflecting on the exhibition, the gallery’s Co-founders Arjun Sawhney and Arjun Butani commented: “With the opening of this new space and the exhibition, Pristine Heritage aims to create an immersive environment that honours the spiritual and cultural depth of Himalayan art. The exhibition attracted a distinguished crowd on its opening night, with prominent figures from the art world such as collectors Jayati Puri and Mandira Nath.
Guests, including Founder of Ladies Who Lead, Aabha Bakaya and Archive Director of Citizen Archive of India, Mallika Bhatia engaged with the gallery founders in thought-provoking conversations while experiencing the varied interpretations of the thangka art. Other prominent names in attendance were Randeep Bajaj, Navneet Randhawa, Fatima Karan and Anita Bajaj.
