Nayab Singh Saini Flag Off JBM ECOLIFE 100% Electric Buses

Gurugram, January 26, 2025:  On the occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day, JBM ECOLIFE 100% electric buses were simultaneously flagged off in 5 different cities in Haryana. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini, led the flag-off ceremony in Rewari. Additional ceremonies were conducted by Hon’ble Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Shri Anil Vij in Ambala, Hon’ble Minister of Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship, Sports, Law & Legislative, Shri Gaurav Gautam in Hisar, Hon’ble Development & Panchayat, Mines & Geology Minister, Shri Krishan Lal Panwar in Rohtak, and the Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Krishan Lal Middha, in Sonipat. These electric buses are also operational in Panchkula, Panipat, Jagadari, and Karnal. Haryana-based JBM Auto, the manufacturer of these electric buses, has supplied and deployed a comprehensive electric bus ecosystem at the depots, including power and charging infrastructure. JBM Auto received an order for 375 electric buses under the National e-Bus Plan in Haryana.

This year JBM Auto has completed a decade in the public mobility space. The company envisions serving over 20 billion passengers and clocking 3 billion e-kilometres in the next 3 to 4 years, delivering safe, reliable and unforgettable experiences.

The newly launched JBM ECOLIFE electric bus is a zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) that will save around 1000 equivalent tons of carbon dioxide and 420,000 litres of diesel over 10 years of its operation. These buses are powered by fast-charging lithium-ion batteries and are equipped with all modern features like Real Time Passenger Information System (PIS), Panic Buttons for emergency, Vehicle Location & Tracking System, CCTV cameras, public address system, stop request buttons, Fire Detection & Alarm System to name a few. For drivers, the ergonomically designed dashboard provides an intuitive and user-friendly system that allows drivers to concentrate on driving without distractions which makes it a truly global product.

Currently, JBM has deployed over 1,800 electric buses across multiple geographies in India, Europe, Middle East & Africa, etc. The company boasts of a robust order book of 10,000+ electric buses deployed and under execution. The company has set up the world’s largest (outside China) dedicated integrated electric bus manufacturing facility, located in the Delhi-NCR region, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 electric buses.
